I don t remember why I bought this book I probably saw a positive review either in Asimov s or on Slashdot In any case it took me two years to get to it.I read the first half on a flight from Seattle to Detroit It was bad the writing itself was okay but the plot was paper thin and the characterizations were even worse I thought I had it all figured out.I read the second half on the flight back from Detroit And, honestly, I was pleasantly surprised The cheesy ending I was expecting didn t present [...]

    3. An interesting and action packed novella, it kept me interested throughout and has a satisfying if slightly underwhelming conclusion Recommended as a gap filling read, but it s not the best example of Brown s sci fi work.
