    1. What I enjoy most is a gripping mystery suspense thriller, a fast paced story grabbing readers attention at the beginning and keeping their interest until they last they turned the last page Midnight Betrayal by Melinda Leigh easily fits this definition.Melinda Leigh s Midnight Betrayal introduces readers to an unknown antagonist in a rundown neighborhood in Philadelphia on the second page of her thriller She keeps readers in the dark as to who the antagonist is and why or what this evil person [...]

    2. This was a very good read I especially liked the characters Louisa worked at a museum She was very intelligent and growing up had never really fit in with the other kids at school Her mom died when she was young and her father kind of went off the deep end, leaving Louisa to be raised by her Aunt Margaret Conor, however, having lost his parents at a younger age, was old enough to help his brother, Pat, raise siblings Danny and Jayne The four of them were quite close Conor and Pat run a bar toget [...]

    4. This is the third book in the Midnight series I haven t read any of the previous books, so it is a Stand alone I chose to read this book because it is set in Philadelphia In this book former child genius now Curator Dr Louisa Hancock has moved from Maine the location of her previous job and adventure, to Philadelphia Almost immediately she and her museum are thrust into a mystery with missing interns, missing replica weapons and Celtic symbols carved into bodies When her personal intern vanishes [...]

    5. As with the previous two books in this series the author opens with grisly murder that grabs your attention and then rolls into introducing us to the main characters, who we ve met in the previous Midnight Sacrifice, and keeps your interest until the shocking conclusion The Celtic theme was alive and well in this third book but with a little different twist this time A history museum is the backdrop with Curator Dr Louisa Hancock baffled by the disappearance of two of her interns In her quest to [...]

    6. Oh my goodness Starts with a bang and you sure don t want it to end I didn t figure this killer out at all and I loved it Don t miss out on this one

    7. Midnight Betrayal is the third instalment in the series and although it can be read as a stand alone, it features characters we have already met in the series Dr Louisa Hancock had to leave her previous job and take a lower position and paycheck in order to continue working in a Museum It seems like bad luck has followed her after an intern goes missing only to turn up dead It seems like it may be related to an other disappearance and Louisa is taking no chances, she contacts Conor Sullivan with [...]

    8. Wow Louisa Hancock and Conor Sullivan reunite in the latest and possibly the most compelling of the Midnight series when a brutal murder of an intern occurs after the theft of an artefact replica From here onwards, it s a series of twists and turns in the plot as Louisa and Conor find their way back to each other amidst the growing danger Beautifully written with relentless action and breathless suspense, I was certainly thrown for a huge loop when the killer was finally revealed After the disap [...]

    9. This book grabbed me from the beginning and I didn t come close to guessing who the murderer was Dr Louisa Hancock was unfairly fired from her job as a curator at a museum and has moved to Philadelphia for a job at another museum Her life seems to be going along fine when an intern from the museum goes missing Louisa realizes this crime is not random and it somehow ties to Conor Sullivan, the owner of a sports bar she knew briefly from her past Louisa does not trust easily but she is attracted t [...]

    10. I loved this thriller The author keeps you at the edge of your seat, as you try to figure out the sadistic murderer, and the reasons , behind the murders I read over thirty chapters, and still was not sure So many diversions, and false trails I also loved the slow building romance, than began in the last book There was nothing to dislike I recommend this to anyone who loves a great murder mystery thriller I really liked the two main characters, and trusted everyone connected to his bar besides t [...]

    11. Dr Louisa Hancock has just started over in Philadelphia, as the assistant curator at the museum She has left behind a troubling past and experiences that cost her the job as head curator in Maine She has moved into a lovely condo in Rittenhouse Square and is settling into her routines. And she is trying to look on the bright side of things Unfortunately, some recent events in her new job have made it difficult, beginning with the attitude of Director Cusack who is a bit contemptuous in his remark [...]

    12. Review will be posted atbooks n kisses MBER OF HEARTS 5REVIEW They say lightning never strikes twice Or does it If you are Louisa Hancock Conor Sullivan you might just start to believe that it does Wow I am not even sure how to start this review other than to say Murder is a dirty, dirty business and oh my good golly Ms Leigh can write a book As with all suspense books I try my best to figure out the who s, the what s and the why s But let me tell you Midnight Betrayal kept me guessing the whole [...]

    13. 3.5 StarsI like the whole Midnight Series, the Sullivan Family and all the characters that become entwined in their lives.I rated it 3.5 Stars because there could have been so much intrigue and suspense if time had been used following and building up the kidnappings and the story around the kidnapper s rather than who had the skeletons in the closet, who was of an emotional wreck Since the story fits in so well to the series and I like all the characters, I will read the next one.

    14. 4.5 stars Great story Very, very good narration by Mikael Nara Though not serialised, this follows events affecting the Sullivan family Terrific thriller, heart stopping suspense, just the right amount of adult romance and intimacy, hard to pick the perp Now onto MIDNIGHT OBSESSION, to find out if there are any loose ends to be tied up Definitely worth my time.

    15. Really good and smooth with an interested twist Loved the characters Sweet and sexy Look forward to Melinda s other books Folks, we have a winner It is also a plus that she is a native of the Philadelphia area, as am I, so I can really relate to the setting Go female Philly writers Jennifer, Lisa, and now Melinda

    16. Don t start reading Midnight Betrayal late at night From the first chapter, you are immediately hooked, and you will have a hard time putting it down I was sure I had the murderer figured out three or four times The ending is a real shocker I did not want this book to be over Can t wait for her next one Also, be sure and read her other books They are all great

    17. A lot going on , will keep your interest to the endStill good but not quite as good as the two previous books in this series A lot going on , will keep your interest to the end Complex characters but I did not care for one of the main characters too needy which made it hard to for me to get into the book.

    18. My words won t do the book justice I hadn t read the first 2 in this series and I think that is just fine I really like her character building, you really get to know them but she doesn t drag it out either And good luck guessing who did it I was confident I had it figured out twice She s a great author and it s another great story from her It won t disappoint.

    25. Another good read, and I give it 4.5 stars. The third book in the series, this book follows Dr Louisa Hancock who we were briefly introduced to in the second book as a curator After being fired for allowing a museum in Maine to be robbed, she heads to Philadelphia to leave that life behind, as well as some other secret demons, and take a job at a different museum Despite the move, it seems that evil seems to follow her when a museum intern is found dead and then another goes missing This can t be [...]

    26. Interesting readI have to admit, I didn t know who the killer was in this book until it was revealed at the end I was going honestly thinking it was related to the killer in the other two books before this one but it caught me This is a good read I liked it a lot Not as much as prior stories leading up until this point, I had a point of where I didn t pick it up for a couple weeks because it couldn t keep my attention, but I powered through The story is great, your typical damaged good character [...]
