    5. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review This review may contain spoilers. When I first read the blurb of this book, I was particularly intrigued by it I was also curious to see how the author would write a character who was blind I personally think writing a character without a sense is pretty difficult, but I thought the author did a really good job of showing the world from Sadie s perspective.I found myself empathising with Sadie really easily She was an interesting mix of [...]

    6. I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.Sadie s War is an interesting beginning to a promising series I m a huge fan of the whole mutant experience The idea of an outcast making her way in a harsh society combined with Sadie s emotional baggage makes for a unique coming of age novel When Sadie is abandoned by her mother Downtown, she has little to no experience with the real world In her struggle to understand this alien world around her, the reader experiences the same [...]

    7. Check out of my review on my blog escapeinsidethepages.wordpressSadie s War brings about a heart wrenching tale of a girl who has seen so much struggle and strife that you cannot help but feel pity for her situation Though she may be what is called a supernatural with a kickass power, she has been so abused and mistreated by her own parents, that she barely knows how to function in society Luckily, the ever compassionate Fester finds her and takes her in However, her situation soon becomes dire [...]

    8. REVIEW Young and alone, Sadie is blind, abandoned by her parents to live on the streets She lived in an area called the Gutter The author sets you up on the first page to become totally interested in the book You wanted to reach out and help Sadie She has no skills for the treacherous life on the streets and doesn t even know the basics of the world A man named Fester, I wonder if the author made that name for a reason , has seen Sadie and became enthralled by her beautiful blue eyes He decides [...]

    9. 10. 11. Given To Me For An Honest ReviewSadie s War A Supernatural Uprising Novel Book 1 by Jayell Cochran is one that you must read Although it really is not a genre that I normally read I am so glad that I read it This is about Sadie, a young girl who is blind She has grown up being terribly abused by her parents One day she is left in the streets to fend for herself She knows nothing about caring for herself One day she is found almost frozen because it is so cold Fester takes her in to help her Soon [...]

    12. Intense and visceral, Sadie s War captured me from the moment I first met the young blind girl as she struggles to survive on the unfamiliar streets Sadie is a broken character, but with an undeniable strength beneath the surface that comes from than her power over the wind After all she s endured, you can t help but hope she can learn to trust in the kind hearted young man who brings her in out of the killing cold Emotional tension runs high throughout this tale of hardship With each turn of t [...]

    13. I found Sadie s War an internal emotional war with her past and the present aswell as the build up of an external war between the government and supernatural s.I like my books to have quite a bit of action and although the main action does not get going until halfway through the book, it had enough suspense throughout to have kept me intrigued and interested to the point where I was actually leafing through the pages to find out what happens before reading the chapter correctly, something I have [...]

    14. I won this book on and I am glad I did I love this book and was sad that it ended, but I love that the last chapter was from Fester s point of view The author kept me captivated and I couldn t stop reading it till the end The book was very well written and I can t wait to read other books by the author I will be looking for other books by Jayelle Cochran.

    15. I thoroughly enjoyed this book Sadie our main character has supernatural powers and has suffered greatly at the hands of her family She gets involved with a group of other super natural and things get interesting I love seeing Sadie try to learn to trust and let people into her life It was a good book and a must read.

    16. I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review I always feel bad when I give low stars on a review, but because of all the gutter dialect, I had to I thought it was a good story, but I don t really want to take the time to decipher non existent words It really took away from the story I did finish the book, and other than the dialect, I did think it was good.

    17. although depressing as heck, it was still enjoyable to read in the sense that Sadie s abuse was written tastefully and accurately the writing was a little difficult to read sometimes and i am always uncomfortable whenever white authors write asian characters, so i did cringe a bit whenever that came up either way, a surprising read.
