    1. If you asked me for a book that you could really sink your teeth into a murder mystery with just a hint of romance one that is a delight to read, but not light reading you know, something that keeps your eyes glued to the pages you are frantically turning and sneaks into your thoughts at random times but doesn t necessarily rip out your heart run away with it I d happily hand you Stolen Memories.1928 was a fabulous time to be a young woman in Europe It was particularly exciting and opportunistic [...]

    2. won this is in a Giveaway I am a big fan of historical fiction, I am a big fan of crime thrillers mysteries so this literally seemed like the perfect book for me For the historical aspect of the world building it was exceptional, Mary Miley managed to weave in several other things that were current at the time from minor deatls such as trends in clothing to the powerful suffragette movement, that I found it very easy to fully immerse myself in the time period when I opened the book So as you can [...]

    3. I won this book in a giveaway by the publisher from Good Reads and as a huge historical fiction fan, I was excited to read it It took me a while to get to this book but I m almost glad because I would have rushed through it to finish y other books had I have picked it up sooner I do get worried that the historical crime genre is overdone, but this book was different You were able to get to know and enjoy the characters It draws you in because you really do want to know about the protagonist and [...]

    4. A clever translation of the gothic genre to 1928 France The description of the heroine s struggle with identify as she regains her memories is psychologically fascinating The resolution, however, is a bit of a letdown.

    5. Mary weaves together an amazing story There were twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat Although set in the early 1900s, the characters, male and female, were very relatable and could have been plopped into any time period and still have been as believable and interesting If you enjoy the Gothic romance novels of authors Daphne DuMaurier, Victoria Holt and others, this is one you don t want to miss.
