    5. The wedding journal gone wrongTracey has done it once again I just loved this fast paced wedding story for Dell Shaye The story of there last week had me laughing and crying at times The day they tied the knot had the church flooded out moved the wedding to the beach and needed to finish the ceremony to be over before the storm hitting the island Then they had Boris the obstinate sea lion blocking the road had to rescue the bride and bridesmaid from Boris by scooter and motorcycles also Boris go [...]

Duty first I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review The opinion expressed here is my own Ok that done here we go Just came back from a quick visit with my favorite couple in the Due South Series and what a nice tear jerking wedding that was I also got to see my dear friend Mrs T who had me in stitches as usual and she even roped in Bill Wearing a feather boa no less This short story [...]

    11. Oh how I missed these characters This book was a great addition to the Due South series Its a short Novella that shows the days leading up to Shaye s and Del s Wedding and the day of Shaye has a daily countdown and schedule and is meticulous with her bridal Journal She has it planned down to the last detail But with any kind of important event there is always going to be bumps along the way With that said you know the day will not go as planned The things I loved about this book is that its show [...]

    12. This is a sweet short story, that at times runs spicy hot It is a followup to the third book of the series, Ready to Burn where Head Cook Del and Sous Chef Shaye decide to intermingle their seasonings The Due South Series follows a large group of friends who live on an island just off the southern end of New Zealand It follows Book 7 of the series, so a lot has happened among the group since Del and Shaye first got together This is a book where it really makes a difference that you have read all [...]

    14. This is a sweet follow up for readers of Tracey Alvarez s enjoyable Deep South series If you ve read the previous books and you are interested in seeing how things are going there on Oban Island in New Zealand, the setting for all the books, Kissing the Bride is a nice little chaser while waiting for novels In this novella we return to Shaye and Del, the H and h of Ready to Burn, the 3rd book in the series It is just a week before the wedding that Shaye has organized and planned down to the las [...]

This novella was just what the Doctor ordered I really love catching up with all the beloved people of Stewart Island I do always want to know what s happening with them.Kissing the Bride is all about Shay Del it s a week before their Big Day Shay is making sure it s going to be the Wedding of her Dreams, the Perfect Day Del loves Shay sooooo much that he is sooo patient with all her planning the perfect wedding She wants everything perfect, like any bride But with all the planning, hilarity ens [...]

    17. There are seven days until Del and Shaye s wedding. As the book blurb says, if you haven t read the series before this is NOT the place to start As a recap, Del Westlake was the wunderkind chef from LA who came back to Oban for his older brother s wedding and takes over as head chef at Due South the local bar restaurant when his father Bill is taken ill Shaye Harland is the incumbent sous chef whose nose was put out of joint when Bill asked Del to take over instead of her Del and Shaye s story is [...]

    19. A cute, funny and sexy short story about Shaye and Del s wedding Fans of the Due South series don t want to miss this book It s a short read without any major drama or big obstacles to overcome if you don t count an obsessively organized bride to be, a wicked sea lion and the unpredictable Stewart Island weather. All the characters from the previous books are back, and I was happy to meet them all again The strong sense of community and family is the main feature in this series, and it s what mak [...]

    20. Awesome and adorable read It may be a short story but it s long on love and romance.Shaye and Del s is indeed the wedding of the year Five stars and an A for Kissing the Bride, Due South series book 7.5, for making me laugh and go, Awww several times and for all the unexpected but ultimately worthwhile hassle, hold ups, and surprises along the way no Bridezillas allowed Love definitely conquers all, and as shown in each and every Due South book, it is infinitely special and meaningful when share [...]

    21. Such a sweet and entertaining story I loved revisiting Shaye and Del and seeing them tie the knot The countdown format was a lot of fun 7 days before the Big Day and counting and I enjoyed watching them encounter and defeat, of course all the obstacles Ms Alvarez threw in their way as the big day came closer Seeing everyone come together to help them prepare and celebrate was like attending a family reunion but the fun kind, with the side of the family you get along with not the side with the cr [...]

    22. Once again, Tracey has brought out all the characters in Oban and has made them all an integral part of Shay and Del s pre wedding plans and activities This story even stars Shay s notebook of All Things Nuptial which suffers severe trauma right at the start and a gigantic sea lion named Boris What could have been a boring everything that can go wrong wedding story had than enough unusual twists to keep me laughing at the funny parts, holding my breath at the tense parts It isn t all laughs, su [...]

    23. This is a short, sweet novella that is a part of the Due South series by this author Even if you have not read any of the Due South series, you can still enjoy this quick read Although, you won t get the background that comes from having read the other books in this series, you can still enjoy the wonderful writing of Ms Alvarez But reading the other books in this series greatly enhances the enjoyment of this book and makes things a little less confusing It is about the wedding of Shaye Cupcake [...]

    24. The perfect wedding sweet It was such a joy to catch up with Shaye and Del after Ready to Burn Shaye is doing her best to plan every detail and make this wedding go off without a hitch, while Del is planning a secret surprise to make Shaye the happiest wife he can I loved how these two have grown together since Ready to Burn While the problems our characters encounter aren t as serious as issues as they encountered in the past such as Del s alcohol troubles in Ready to Burn , when there is a wed [...]

    25. Full of not only romance but fun, drama and Ms Alvarez s signature Kiwi humour, Kissing The Bride was a perfect addition to this wonderful series Giving 5 stars is a rarity for me, but I just think that this book ties in so beautifully with the whole Due South series and reconnects with each and every character we ve grown to love It may not introduce anything entirely new, but honestly I think that s what makes this so right It s a re connection for us, where we can look in on this beautifully [...]

    26. 4.5 STARS This is a lovely wedded finish to Del and Shaye s romance first visited in book 3 of the Due South Series Although, we re certain to see cameo s in future books This short novella is a sweet, fun and loving story without the angst and loaded drama While there are some mishaps along the way, they just cement the love and perseverance Del and Shay have Each chapter is a day s event leading up to the BIG day and all of the regular Due South personalities make an appearance I tend to avoid [...]

    27. An added bonus to the Due South series by Tracey Alvarez, Kissing the Bride is a quick and fun read I would highly recommend reading the other books in the series before this book to understand the characters, their relationships and what makes each one of them unique and so human Shaye, a bride to be who wants a perfect wedding on a perfect day with the perfect man for her, has kept a journal of everything that needs to be done and when it has to be done Del, so head over heels in love with his [...]

    28. This is book 7.5 in the Due South series and it is perfect I love Del and Shaye and any chance I get to revisit all the great characters in the Due South series, I will definitely take It s a week before their wedding and she wants EVERYTHING perfect She s become bridezilla with her wedding journal close at hand What happens when a pesky and very large sea lion named Boris tries to ruin Shaye s wedding day This story has the perfect amount of humor, so much love, great family and awesome friends [...]

    29. Kissing The Bride is a really fun story As mentioned by the author, it is not meant to be a readalone story It would be better to read it after you have read the rest of the Due South series But if you have read the rest of the Due South series like me, you d definitely find this an enjoyable read Usually in most stories, the HEA is just one small part of the story I m really glad that Tracey decided to make the HEA of Del and Shaye into a story of its own It was really fun reading about the sna [...]

    30. This follow up to Ready to Burn was a short and sweet delight Not quite a novel, but definitely than a novella or a short story, I d call it a novelette A couple days reading, tops If one hasn t read the previous books in the series all of them this one will be a bit disjointed and jarring But taken as a follow up to the previous stories, it s a really nice dip into the world of Due South, and a satisfying epilogue for Del and Shaye s romance There isn t really any angst here, and no tragedies [...]
