Sylvester s study on Magritte is, to me, admirable than anything else There is no questioning his dedication to the work, but unfortunately the art critic is cavalierly dismissive of many of the artist s greatest paintings, not to mention the artist s own views philosophy, etc Simply put, I don t care for the matter of fact tone in which he expresses his views, at times I m reluctant to take a comment like Magritte only produced two truly great paintings in the last decade of his life seriously [...]
